Pros

They work with you to make sure you can balance college and work. The people are nice and going to work was fun! I worked there for 3 years and it was an amazing experience. My superiors were always understanding and learned so many transferable skills.

Cons

Don't let negativity influence you.

Pros

Great benefits including: vacation time, wellness hour (sick PTO), paid birthdays, union contracted, 401k. Organized and straight forward company. (Most higher ups are more tactful than truthful though) Great values. (But company uses it for their advantage)

Cons

Too many! Too much drama at my store. HR covering up foul play, management prying about your business, favoritism towards non-POC aka white people. Besides it being a retail environment (long hours of standing, short breaks, crazy customers), other serious cons are expectations of work is unreasonable. They expect everyone to have a career path lined up with them. Are you going to be a supervisor or a visual? Then they will expect you to be their best friends and do anything they ask you to. Maybe 1-10+ years later you will finally go into training. The timeline is unreal and make believe. It’s quite comical. I have had multiple conflicts with leaving on time, not getting paid enough, changing my schedule/availability, and other changes they love to implement out of the blue (dress code, store hours, when to put in vacation, how to use wellness, etc.) Also the most encouraging thing to see is an all non-POC group of corporate beings walk around the store every now and then. But what’s new? Also if you ask for any sick days or even a slight change to your availability, be ready to be interrogated by multiple managers. Really professional... I love the people that I worked with, but so many have left and so many have turned to the higher ups bff, that the environment you end up working in is just unbearable. Haha. Have fun. At first, it’s all nice and wow so organized but then “why you called out?” “You went out last night?” “You have another job?” “Why can’t you stay later?” “I thought you were my buddy” “sorry we will look into it” “so why don’t you like working here?” It’s becomes a big joke.
