Pros

The benefits program is awesome, paid time off, vacation, some holidays and even your birthday. Health insurance that even covers things like acupuncture, optional pet insurance and legal assistance available as well. Paid travel and lodging if you get picked to support or help with expansion. Bonuses if your store meets certain goals. Diversity and expression is encouraged, you can dress and look pretty much however you like. Good discounts/ coupons for staff, cute cheap clothes. Values based, green environmentally friendly company for being "fast-fashion." I feel if I had worked for H&M in a different role and region I would have loved this company.

Cons

Store level teams are often incompetent and childish, lack of leadership and strong management, very little professionalism. Promotions are all based on district/regional favoritism and with the recent growth of the company, there is frequent turnover at that level. There is a lot of talk of opportunities to grow within the company and they supposedly want to develop their staff from the inside but management is often unsupportive, plays favorites or your store goes through so many different store managers that those with less experience get pushed forward. Frequent promises but very little follow through. Hours and scheduling are so flip/flop that you can't have a life outside this job. Unrealistic expectations, frequent criticism but rarely ever if any praise or positive feedback for hard work. Lack of communication, sales advisors that are unfriendly and act like they hate their job, lazy visuals who don't understand time management or deadlines. Rude management who talk down and belittle you. Seriously met some of the nastiest people I have ever encountered in the workplace at this job.

Pros

The co-workers are always awesome The discount is pretty cool I always like the clothes

Cons

They play favorites to the point that it RIGHT IN YOUR FACE. This a company where you have to kiss the managers butts to get anywhere! They definitely hire/ promote the wrong people. People that do not know how to run or manage a business or its associates. H&M doesn't practice it's own values and works its associates to the bone with NO raises or praise. The customers are STUPID and very inconsiderate.
