      In November 2015, the Marketing team was told that we would not be relocated. In December 2015-January 2016, about a dozen new marketing employees were brought onboard. January 12, 2016- everyone was laid off, with the option to move from SD to Atlanta if we reapplied to our jobs and took pay cuts. Hmm, decisions, decisions. January 12-June 3, 2016 (last day at HD), no acknowledgement of company relocation and mass layoffs except for a small unnoticeable memo. The way they handled layoffs was horrible, degrading, and disrespectful to the hundreds of loyal employees who dedicated their hard work to the company for 20+ years. Really shows what kind of company it is.

      Make your own schedule. Supportive area manager.

      Cons

      Too much middle management that has no idea how to do their jobs. They create ridiculous rules & initiatives so their position stays relevant. All brown nosing. Bad insurance options. Only wants to look good to stock holders. Employees are not their first priority.

      Pros

      Used to have a world class Property Improvement Team. Great teamwork, everyone working toward one goal. We were excited to come to work. We worked so hard to be number one. Was terrific spirit among the team.

      Cons

      New leadership last year turned what we built upside down because they thought they could do it better. Now no one is making plan and our customers no longer turn to us for their Reno needs. All the RSCs used to call each other for advice to grow their business. Now we call each other to see if anyone knows of a company hiring so we can finally get out of this mess.
