Joe Deangelo may be an even worse CEO in terms of leadership than his disgraced predecessor, Bob Nardelli. He is disconnected from the nature of the core businesses and primarily concerned with short term results in a long term industry. Communications from corporate are patronizing and attempts at motivation ring hollow. You can bet if corporate has its hand in something, it will be ham-fisted and ill conceived. Hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to have a good local manager that they leave alone. I was and continue to be a top performer in my role since our divestiture from this dysfunctional conglomerate.

Southeast Senior Leader is a terrible example for the company. It seems his goal is to have a 100% turnover of talented operations employees and the company is not doing anything to address it. There have been comments made to frontline employees about how excited leaders were over the 150% turnover record of their building. These are the leaders that remain after the talented employees have left.
