Large IT Department that does a lot of things in house offering plenty of avenues to get your foot in the door them move to other areas of interest; - Help Desk - Software Development - Information Security - Networking and Infrastructure - On Prem Servers - VOIP

What makes up the conglomerate that is the IT department at HD Supply, doesn't make a whole lot of sense. HD Supply is comprised of 2 companies, Facilities Maintenance (FM) and WhiteCap (WC), which has their own IT departments, different phone numbers and support email addresses, two different ticketing systems, that handles different issues for either company, depending on the problem at a given branch. Because of this duopoly, what tends to happen is the two different help desk teams end up having to forward tickets to the other if the issue doesn't fall within their purview, even if they're able to resolve the problem, adding an artificial layer of abstraction, adding time to fix the problem. For teams that are not on the front line of help desk, this isn't an issue. For the end user, this leaves an extremely poor impression of the department.
