Pros

None worth noting. What’s labeled as “opportunity” is really just code for you have no choice but to absorb more work because no one else will. Growth isn’t supported—it's demanded, exploited, and then ignored.

Cons

- Leadership is paralyzed by fear and conflict avoidance. Critical decisions go unmade, hard conversations NEVER happen, and accountability is nonexistent—starting at the very top of marketing. - CMO leadership was especially ineffective—avoiding tough decisions, failing to advocate for the department, and disappearing when teams needed direction or protection. This lack of backbone trickled down, creating confusion, burnout, and an unsafe work environment for anyone who actually cared about delivering results. - Chronic misalignment across teams. “Strategy” changes weekly depending on who leadership last spoke to, and everyone else is expected to clean up the chaos. - Unsustainable workloads given to a small handful of high performers while others coast with no accountability. - Constant shifting priorities create chaos, rework, and emotional exhaustion - A complete lack of strategic direction—every week brings a new “urgent” pivot that derails progress. - Burnout is normalized. There’s no recognition, no support, and no plan to distribute work equitably. - Communication is inconsistent and often contradictory, leaving teams to sort out confusion with zero guidance. - Promises never materialize. - Culture messaging feels performative. The internal experience doesn’t match what’s publicly advertised. - Feedback loops don’t exist—you’re expected to execute flawlessly but not expected to have a voice.
