      Pros

      I have had a great time with this company. A very solid company to work for. There is a good atmosphere, benefits, and stability.

      Cons

      There pay is low for the type of work i do. They try to generalize job codes and positions and that's just not the way it works. All engineering disciplines are not equal. To keep bringing in their record breaking revenue, they have decided to freeze all bonuses and promotions in addition to taking away a few paid holidays. Depending on the group you are in there are managers play favorites and it is hard to find promotions.

      Pros

      You get really great pay and benefits for good challenging work. It's not as intimidating as some people think. Your trained on literally everything you do before you touch it.

      Cons

      Upper management is not very transparent they rather play politics and lie. Personal time could be accumulated better. 8-10 hours every 3 months as long as you miss less than 5 hours Is lame

      Pros

      I enjoyed my time working for Huntington Ingalls. My work days were very productive in managing time, tasks and responsibilities not only to myself but to my employees as well, when I was put into leadership. Management could have been better in taking care of our needs, checking on us more often and ensuring that we had the proper tools to complete or jobs. The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to provide for my family and meeting people from different walks of life.

      Cons

      Every day presented a different project in the electrical, mechanical, technical, and safety departments. Problem solving to stay on schedule, from parts not being available, job planing, scheduling, resolving safety violations, establishing budgets, implementing new work guidelines and policies etc...
