Pros

There is none at all I guarantee you ..

Cons

There is none … you’ll be 70 years old still on your tools no room for promotion they don’t care about work ..only attendance so you can be the worst worker in the world and never do anything but as long as you come in it’s fine … foreman’s and bosses were victims of being bullied so they have a lil bit of power and abuse it and hr does nothing about it . They honestly don’t care about your health, mental or physical, and you can never call the hr building or anyplace that’s connected to ingalls because they never answer the phone so you have to leave work early just to go. They will hire over 3,000 people to fulfill a contract with the navy and once contract is signed they start making crazy rules and harassing people to get rid of at least 3,000 so management get more bonuses and pay raises while workers get treated like trash ..there are women who abuse their gender and foreman’s are dating employees and giving those same employees special treatment

Pros

You would most likely form good relationships with coworkers.

Cons

First off the company as a whole has different divisions under the parent HII brand which I personally was under one of those divisions. Being in a separate entity feels as if you are not cared upon working for the parent company. division leadership wants to appease to the HII corporate leaderships while treating its employees solely as a number and not care about the person and their general well being. Benefits are lacking and can use improvements. growth opportunities seem non-existent and will most likely force you to take on more roles and responsibilities while not promoting you. good people constantly leave and they would not look to replace those individuals when they leave which puts more strain on the current people taking the brunt of that load.

Pros

Great team, fully remote, internal mobility, training, mission driven

Cons

People get laid off in government contracting and that sucks. Sometimes as a recruiter you are recruiting people out of stable jobs in to roles that they could get laid off from in less than a year. You really never know. We could do better with benefits, they are very medium. compared to similar companies we have less PTO, 401k match and maternity.
