      Pros

      some sense of job stability, over 20,000 employees. many departments and trades to work in.

      Cons

      not much respect for trade workers, takes a long time to advance in company. they claim they appreciate education, but they dont adjust your salary to reflect your education level.

      Pros

      The benefits and the health insurance and union.the company has an excellent apprenticeship program. The Human resource employees are very helpful throughout the employment process

      Cons

      The ships management and fore man, needs more knowledge on the company's policies on written warnings. The company claims they take care of combat veterans and a supporter of the wounded warrior foundation but some of its management discriminates against vets

      Good benefits, decent retirement, stable job. Operations management is very involved in the everyday process of the shipyard. Would recommend to a friend

      Cons

      Lots of overtime hours with no overtime pay. Meetings scheduled on Saturdays occasionally. Traffic leaving at shift end is typically terrible
