Leadership instability has been extreme. Former COO, CFO, CISO, CRO, CMO, and CPO all left. The CTO role has been open with nobody in place. Recently, a new CRO, CMO, and CFO were hired, but the new CFO left after just one week. No explanation was given. It’s hard not to see this as a deeper clash within leadership. Because of this, the company has clearly lost its edge. There’s nothing meaningfully proprietary, while competitors are cheaper and easier to sell. That shows up directly in lost deals, renewals getting harder, and churn. This is not a secret internally. For a long time there was effectively no real C-suite, and it showed. Direction changed constantly, priorities shifted without context, and execution suffered. The CEO has been in seat for the past 9 months, and does not inspire confidence. She seems a good person, but not the right person for the job. Leadership often seems disconnected from what’s actually happening on the ground. Enablement is poor. Documentation is scattered everywhere, spread across hundreds of tools and platforms. Data is unreliable, and teams are expected to “figure it out” on their own. Global calls are mostly useless, internal meetings drag on with no clear outcomes, and a lot of time is wasted. Several orgs don't really want to help. If they do, it's almost like they're doing you a huge favor. The company is bad with data and accountability. High performers are obvious, but too many outcomes don’t actually depend on them. It’s also very obvious who is doing the bare minimum. That behavior is tolerated, especially if you know the right people, which kills motivation for anyone who actually cares. Career plan is inexistent. People stay at the same roles for 3, 4, 5, 6 years... It’s also not a good sign that many top hackers, and especially contributors, are leaving the ecosystem altogether. Revenue hasn’t grown in any meaningful way, and internally most people don’t believe it will anytime soon.
