      People, benefits, work environment, location

      Cons

      Most people VERY resistant to change even though they don't think they are. Also, some areas of the company inflexible even though we promote flexible schedules, etc.

      Pros

      I could set my own schedule and work out of my home. I worked with my boss once a year. Good benefits. Well recognized brand name bringing a smile to someone's face when asked what you do for work.

      Cons

      Turmoil within headquarters is spreading to the field organization. When you were asked for feedback it was fed back to you.

      If Only Upper Management at Corporate Would Leave You Alone to Make Money, You Might Actually Make Money for Them

      Salary good for management (poor for associates, especially poor for Asst. Managers); Paid Time Off nice; Love most of the customers and some of the products; Nice 40% discount

      Micromanaged down to the color socks you can wear. "Perfect Store" guidelines are a joke - they say Customers are the MOST important thing and Drop everything for the customer, but then come up with a 6 typed-page list of moronic tasks to make stores look "perfect". How does the color of the bathroom and such affect the bottom line - making money? Way too many pointless conference calls and an excessive amount of voice mails every day, most the regional manager rambling on and on about the same thing day after day. Customers do NOT want to be bombarded with questions REQUIRED to be directed to them. - the customers have even said this repeatedly in surveys.
