Not All Stores Are The Same (Some Are Franchises)

Pros

Not usually large stores. Decent employee discount. I personally mostly had nice coworkers but as with all retail it can go either way.

Cons

A lot of stores are franchises so owners are different but I experienced- Low pay, no benefits, very little hours, and owners did not care about employees or store. Also in my experience you were expected to do a lot in store including building ornament walls and displays, have extensive product knowledge, pack up and ship out packages, on top of whatever store duties you have. Management could go either way depending on who was hired. Very little room for moving up.

I love working for this company and have worked for them 4 times! I would go back if I got the chance now! Fun atmosphere, great co-workers, great customers!

Cons

Not a lot of FT opportunity.

Pros

Love the products, culture and atmosphere. Especially the Pop Culture and Christmas product. The work is demanding, but it keeps you busy. Need to maintain sales. Not commission based, but there is a sales quota to maintain every day. Consistent customer base.

Cons

Part time hours. Consistent heavy lifting.
