Pros

Interaction with interesting and fun guests; great employee discount at Hilton family hotels. Friendly management; convenient to highway; great parking;

Cons

Little to no room for advancement. During my employment, the hotel changed owners multiple times - all of which had different rules and benefits.

Pros

Once was a good place to work.

Cons

2nd Shift has has to fold towels the laundry staff left beyond. So if it's busy, your still responsible for folding towels or you will be written up. You are spied from the security at the front desk, then texted or call if you are not doing something right. I feel like contacting corporate about it. Also, some housekeepers are payed more than front desk.

Pros

Pay was above minimum wage - $9/hr One free snack a day from the snack bar Free coffee Gained experience in customer service and hospitality

Cons

- Treatment from guests. - At the one I worked at in Clear Lake, I worked front desk alone. This was difficult during peak hours. Once, I stepped away when the lobby was empty to run to the restroom and when I returned there was a line of angry guests. - Were required to run snack bar, deliver pillows & beds, answers calls, and check-in guests all at once. - Guests would often ask you to do things outside your job role, requests changed on a daily basis. - The nice guests never bother front desk so you rarely interact with them. It's mostly the unhappy ones.
