Nice co workers cause no one wants you to quit

Cons

Horrible scheduling. I'm a part time worker that works 7 days a week. Sometimes for 2-3 hours at a time which is against policy. Make the same money as a cashier but work late nights, deal with trucks and continuous stocking

Pros

Good pay for retail, you can earn sick and vacation time based on the hours you work (even as a part time employee)

Cons

There is a strict script you must follow for every interaction with a customer, any attempt to insert your personality or create a better customer experience will be shot down and you'll be told to follow the script word for word. Makes me feel like a robot instead of a sales person.

Work-life Balance Not a Reality for Some

Pay is decent. PTO accrual decent.

Cons

Consistently scheduled every weekend day. Nobody else is. Consistently scheduled to open after closing. Nobody else is. Feels like I'm being punished for being dependable for showing up and doing my job. Told to just do availability requests when I don't want to work when the schedule isn't part of my job description.
