      Pros

      Health insurance is somewhat cheap, but deductibles are still high.

      Cons

      There is no work/life balance. Raises are insulting because they are so small. You are expected to do much more than what is in a job description. There is no job security, you could be here one day and gone the next "for the good of the organization". In order to receive a bonus we have to skimp on things we need in the departments through out the year but then we still don't see a bonus because the organization is receiving cuts from the state... but the CEO still makes a sickening amount of money.

      Pros

      Hartford Hospital has implemented a set of values that speaks to the care of their customers...the patients. This has improved the care and environment of the hospital over the past 8 years.

      Cons

      Much change and growth as lead to a very depersonalized work environment for staff. HHC invests in its growth, not in their staff.

      Pros

      Salary is competitive and location is easy to reach via various major highways.

      Cons

      Senior Leadership is unstable. Company and jobs are unstable. Multiple re-organizations and changes in upper management have occurred and have not positively affected the bottom line or company culture. Attempt to adapt the philosophy, culture and values of the parent company Hartford Healthcare have been in process with little to no change. Direction and goals of the agency have changed numerous times. A number of programs continue to run in a large deficit affecting the overall bottom line and morale of employees. In the past year nearly all of senior leadership have left or been asked to leave.
