Pros

Stable workforce. Friendly and intelligent coworkers. A marked improvement in diversity and inclusion in recent years. Department regional manager is human, approachable and willing to work with employees to create situations positive to growth within the company. Nice office in excellent location.

Cons

A lot of creepy focus on "the Hatch way", employees are expected to be completely devoted to the corporate manifesto. Despite an emphasis on diversity and inclusion, upper management consists largely of out-of-touch old white men. Zero flexibility regarding working from home — employees were given less than a month’s notice to return to the office full time. Lower level employees are blamed for quality issues, when higher ups are the ones trying to circumvent normal checking procedures and pressuring us to work faster than we should. A considerable portion of the workload is being outsourced to low cost centres overseas. No clear path to becoming a shareholder.

Gain experience but get treated like dirt

Pros

-Lots of opportunities for exposure if you ask for them but only if it fits within the narrow view of your boss. You will need to harass your boss for opportunities. -A good place for young people to start but don't stay. -Some very experienced and smart people to learn from. -ok pay and ok benefits. -Art on the walls and a gym. -Interesting projects sometimes.

Cons

- Poor flexibility and regard for different needs for different people. They truly do not care about employees. You live to work at Hatch. Flexibility is not a reality because it depends on your boss's personal belief what kind of flexibility you get. -Cult like atmosphere. Drink the coolaid or leave. BUT those who claim to be manifesto leaders do not show these behaviours. -shared services people are disrespected and treated poorly. You will doubt your abilities over time. There is a BIG culture problem at Hatch concerning shared services. -Everyone is burnt out and unhappy. -Wage growth is limited. -Senior leadership leads with fear.

Pros

Azure env. A lot of components involved, so it's a great opportunity to learn.

Cons

It's a big company with a Start-Up environment - too many games on management's level. If you got "between wheels" - you're done!
