      once you become more senior, the management does not appreciate you experience and knowledge the compensation is not competitive

      Doesn't treat existing employees like assets. Reserves company shares for new hires with experience instead of existing employees that bring value. Bonuses do not align with news of "great performance" Chaotic projects due to constant unmanaged changes. Complicated project quality systems. If I can use a quote to describe the people culture "all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others"

      Pros

      There aren't many Canadian companies with a global reach, like Hatch. So, for those based in Toronto that want to be where the action is (i.e. head office), and who want to gain international experience right from home, Hatch is great. It's also a privately held company, so there's no energy expended on trying to position the quarter's results for Wall Street. It's also defined a vision that anyone can easily get behind: the pursuit of a better world through positive change.

      Cons

      Hatch's "flat, connected organization" value can make it challenging to navigate, especially for those that find highly matrixed organizations difficult.
