Pros

Good quality furniture at a fair price. Inventory on most items for quick delivery. Training program for new hires with routine in-store refresher training for both sales and product knowledge. Good product mix of styles to satisfy customer request. Custom furniture program and the ability to easily change fabrics on most stock furniture to satisfy customer request. Benefits are very good.

Cons

Compensation plan constantly changes making it harder to earn the same amount or improve income. Combine that with too many salespeople on the floor and the ability to earn the same amount each year is impacted. I've seen my income go from $45k to $32k with these changes. It is harder to hit the bonuses every month. Assistant managers also sell causing conflict of interest on occasion. Delivery damage issues causing unhappy customers to cancel their order. Dishonest salespeople are not removed from the sales team causing disharmony.

Pros

Good training.Great product. Company goes above and beyond for the customer

Cons

Too many salespeople. Good for the company since they are all commission but not great for salespeople starting out. Just when you start to get headwinds, 3 or 4 more salespeople are on the floor. Sales floor was overloaded on the least busy days. Toxic people were tolerated if they could close sales.

Pros

great product, great customer service, easy computer system to learn. Beautiful showroom

Cons

weekends are shot, long 11 hr Saturdays. If sales staff doesn't like you, you will be pushed out. DO NOT discuss anything personal with anyone, trust no one. Management is a cold hearted individual who will pretend to be a compassionate manager to get you hooked and hired but then wont communicate to you once your hired. Sales managers will ignore you and not mentor to you like they should, let you hang yourself when you don't perform and blame you for not progressing as you should, despite no mentoring. You are expected to be a robot and learn the job overnight. I was thrown a workbook with no expectation or follow up of the exercises I was told was a requirement ONLY at exit interview. My workbook was not checked by anyone and no coaching as to if I understood it. I was ignored by management with no guidance given to me. Management plays favorites and if they don't want you, you will be set up to fail! Its an ultra conservative environment. I didn't find it relaxing at all to interact with fellow co-workers. Constantly talked down to in a condescending tone and corrected like a child would be.
