Pros

Does wonderful things for it's members, solving many difficult issues for people needing help with their healthcare. Employees who care deeply about their work and about each other and work together to help members.

Cons

Poor inter and intra-departmental communications, lack of opportunity for job advancement and training, lack of transparency in many areas relating to employee/management relations, and staffing issues. Lack of management receptiveness/ interest in employee feedback. Need for improved commitment wellness in a health-oriented company with regards to ergonomics, exercise, etc.

Pros

Dress down every Friday, and various little things the company does to appreciate the employees.

Cons

Upper level management is not receptive to ideas from employees. Worked for a department where there was obvious favoritism with the managers and certain employees. Received no formal training class. Had OTJ training and was thrown into my position. They give you no time to settle into the job. Demand daily quotas are met for call volume, and if not met result in poor QA scores when attempting to keep up.

Pros

• The company’s mission • Overall positive attitude and employee dedication to helping members • Growth and learning opportunities • My manager • Willingness to listen to ideas • The many ways the company celebrates and supports employees (special events/lunches, dress down days, holiday parties, bonuses), particularly during time of high volume • Supports and donates to charities • Compensation (includes options)

Cons

The cons are no different than any other company I’ve worked for—just fewer of them.
