Pros

Coach supervisors share helpful client information with the coaches when they have it.

Cons

Client information is often missing and/or outdated and the wellness coaches are left to issue internal work tickets for the information to be found. This process can take multiple work days, leaving coaches with a plethora of client call-backs, on top of their other job duties, once the information is known. Also, the wellness coach job description does not contain specific wording to inform potential coach applicants that a majority of the job is for repetitive technical support issues, involving documentation and client follow-up, rather than providing wellness coaching for a healthy lifestyle.

Pros

I appreciated that this job was virtual as I started working for Health Advocate during the pandemic. It was also nice not to have to commute.

Cons

I personally found it very tedious to be on the phone, fast majority of the day, and to be assessed in the various metrics for my performance and productivity.
