Pros

Nice and helpful supervisors, good coworkers

Cons

The job itself is so repetitive and not rewarding. The company has to bribe you with free lunched just to keep you from going crazy. Do yourself a favor, do whatever you have to do in life to not get stuck calling doctors offices asking if they're taking new patients for the rest of your life.

Good afternoon, thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. I understand that the task you complete in research can be repetitive, but I hope you would agree that the work we do in research is very valuable. We rely on our team to connect members with doctors on a regular basis. I am glad that you had a great experience with our supervisors and co-workers, we value them very much, which is why we provide lunches and parties. I do hope you will take the time to contact me at hmintzer@healthadvocate.com to discuss your concerns with promotions further. We have created an entire internal “university” that allows for our employees to continue to learn and grow in whatever field they choose (and in most cases, these courses count toward promotions and advancement). I look forward to hearing from you! HR Business Partner – Howie Mintzer

Pros

Parking, Secure Building, some of the events they try to offer to ease the pain of not having all the tools we needed to do our jobs well and effectively.

Cons

Management team below c-level has absolutely no clue about the time it takes to resolve more than half of the issues that clients call in for on the phone. They over-criticize and under-support the staff.

Hello, and thank you for leaving us with these valuable insights. As you know, we operate in a very complex industry, and there is a lot of information and a lot of moving parts. While I understand your frustration with not having all of the tools you need to do your job, I disagree that our management team is clueless. We hire supervisors and managers with a heightened focus on benefits and claims knowledge applied to an office setting. However, with any new role, there is a learning curve expected, which does take some time. With that being said, I would like to know more about your experience here and hear about any ideas you have for improving the level of support you required as an employee. I can be reached at HMintzer@healthadvocate.com. I look forward to hearing from you! HR Business Partner – Howie Mintzer

Pros

Employees who genuinely care about helping their clients and serving a purpose in the healthcare industry. Free coffee, low priced soft drinks, great company café and co workers.

Cons

A company that is thriving on overselling their product and thrive on quantity, not quality. You are micromanaged and within high pressure to meet unrealistic expectations and SLA's. High turnover from veterans who were the first employees of the company. No desire to retain good talent and no desire to fill positions that are needed to maintain the work volume that is being shoved down your throat. Performance bonuses are not given as they are based on the company's overall performance, which is ever lacking. Unhappy clients on a daily basis.
