Well meaning, big Ideas...too much chaos.

Pros

- There is a strong core group wanting to bring efficiency and change to the organization. - There are a number of very smart, well qualified and fun employees. - There use to be a strong sense that a small group could bring about positive change to a bureaucratic organization.

Cons

- Infrastructure outsourcing continues to be challenging. - The "many" who are stuck in the way things have always been far outnumber the "few" who attempt mightily to influence positive change. - Sr. Management is committed to an ever-growing outsourcing model. However, there is empirical evidence that quality and timeliness suffer greatly in the current model.

Pros

Health Net offers good benefits which includes paid gym membership and great MHN benefits. They also provide a healthy work/life ratio. Although the morale now is very low in certain departments due to outsourcing jobs to India at least the company will be able to give the upper management and stockholders the money they truly deserve.

Cons

In order to move up at health net you need to know the right people. It's all about politics and not based on job performance. I fortunately know the right people but there are several people who do a great job that will never get promoted.
