Miss Health Net, not a fan of Centene

Pros

Nice company that was flexible with the schedule and dress code. Good group of people. Good management. Stable work environment.

Cons

All of the above is going away. Centene is old-fashioned and out of date. Dress code, though maybe in line with St. Louis (headquarters) is not in line with CA culture. Work from home is encouraged in the modern workplace, yet the CEO of Centene is very much against it. Just not current or with the times unfortunately

Company just purchased might be what is needed to recover from years of tech mistakes and lacking/inadequate funding.

Cons

1/2 sr leadership comes from staff that only know Federal Services Exp. Limits outside knowledge brought to the table.

Loved the people I worked with. My manager was amazing and never micromanaged.

Cons

When the merger happened and the “new” management came in it was like you weren’t able to talk or move. Too much micromanaging, not enough trust that staff will get the job done, we have integrity and they made you feel like you didn’t have any.
