Pros

I have been able to watch HSAG experience growing pains over the time I have been employed here. It has changed from a relatively small company to a rapidly expanding one. With that said, it has been a great place to work for me.The benefits are some of the best.The CEO and senior staff are approachable, friendly, and encourage employees to participate in process improvement. The company assists with movement among departments, for those who find out they are a better fit in another area. I enjoy the people I work with in my department, and they go out their way to help each other in any way they can. My job is never boring, I have been allowed to grow and learn many new skills along the way.

Cons

In the past, there were not enough opportunities for promotion within many job categories. In recent years, I have seen the company making advances in providing more levels within job titles. Demands of the job are considerable. A high quality of work is expected, and this can require working longer hours at times. Not everyone can manage to get the right balance. On the other hand, my department is flexible as to work hours and time off.

Fascinating work with State Medicaid plans with multiple states. Ability to travel, great benefits.

Pros

Family like atmosphere, energetic staff, and great open door policy. I have worked here for two and a half years and have worked with employees in almost every department. Everyone is friendly, dedicated and eager to teach peers that are new to the department.

Cons

There are no quarterly/yearly reviews set in place. I feel it is important for employees to be able to express their thoughts or concerns on a consistent basis. This also strengthens the relationship and loyalty between employee and Management.

The caliber of employees at HSAG is outstanding, and their friendliness, dedication, and willingness to assist one another are beyond compare. While there is not a formal review process in place, managers are encouraged to regularly hold performance-based meetings and provide employees with feedback and the opportunity to voice concerns. We appreciate your interest in formalizing this process! Enhancements to executive communication continue to be made, and we are pleased to see that increased outreach from leadership to staff has been very well received.
