Pros

Purple culture is great in theory. Promotes from within. There is always free food.

Cons

Not everyone can enjoy the purple culture because you are tied to your desk by the phone. Hire experienced management - don't just hire someone because you're friends with them. Hire for merit. Training is informative but sometimes (often) the trainer gives wrong information and despratly lacks the real world calls you get from members. There is way too much micromanaging. We're all adults, treat employees as such a day with more respect. Trying to get time off is the worst! They preach to be empathetic to members but there is no empathy for employees. Getting time off is next to impossible.

Pros

Benefits, training, company activities, subsidized healthy snacks. HSA contributions, wellness programs. My individual supervisor was great.

Cons

Negative work enviroment, micromanagement, heavy work load and no time to complete tasks except before or after shift. Every other supervisor attempted to micromanage me and control my every move. No time off phones, call after call.

Thank you for your review of HealthEquity on Glassdoor. We appreciate hearing from our team members so that we can better create the positive working environment that we strive for. We have reviewed your concerns and will take them into consideration as we continue to grow the business. The Member Services opportunity is one that gets busy and stressful at times so we appreciate all our team members contributions in that department. While I am disappointed to hear about your experience in the role, I can ensure you that we take these reviews seriously and take action to create a more enjoyable working environment. Thank you for your contributions to Member Services and to HealthEquity.

Pros

The teams were great and I had some of the best coworkers I've ever worked with. Managers that held their ground. PTO was nice.

Cons

Scott and the new upper management do not care about the values that made this such a great place to work. It was tone-deaf to be gloating about how well everything went in Q1, considering you had pointlessly cut teams and departments just a week prior. This was a role I wanted to be in for the long haul but I guess that was just unrealistic.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear your time with your team and leaders was meaningful, and we regret to hear it didn’t end the way you had hoped. Decisions that impact teammate roles are never made lightly. They’re made with a focus on the long-term health of the company and our ability to serve members well into the future. We're working hard to stay rooted in our values as we grow. We appreciate your contributions and wish you all the best ahead.
