Pros

I worked at HealthEquity for many years. When I started there it was an amazing company to work for. I loved everything they stood for and I loved the work that I was doing.

Cons

I am one of at least 10 extremely talented employees who have now left the same department in the last few months, most whom have no other job lined up, we just couldn’t tolerate or condone the way leadership treated us. The majority of the resigned employees are women in leadership roles who were tired of being treated as inferior for many different reasons. Being demoted by having their direct reports taken from them and given to male leaders. Being passed over for promotions so that the Executive leader could bring in another one of his buddies. Being refused resources necessary for your job on multiple occasions only to have those resources go to someone else in the ‘good ol’ boys’ club. Also, no one at HealthEquity will listen or say no when other departments constantly request things and demand them in ridiculous time-frames. It is always “Assume positive intent” or you aren’t being very “purple”. I am sorry, but this has to work both ways! You can’t really think that being purple means running to your executive leader every single time someone says they have something more important to do than your project that YOU left until the last minute. These issues along with many more have consistently been brought up with the people team and they continue to do nothing about it. The amazing place I came to work for years ago is now a thing of the past. There is a night and day difference from when I started working at HealthEquity to what it has become today. HealthEquity has become a hostile working environment. And to be clear, this has nothing to do with the WageWorks integration and EVERYTHING to do with the management from the executive level.

Pros

they have pretty good benefits and HSA contribution, 100% remote.

Cons

New CEO directs large layoffs in all departments and did it strategically so they didn't have to provide state warn notices. The company was doing great and experiencing no issues, this was all done to boost the image of the new CEO Scott Cutler so he can announce "amazing financial growth" in his first quarter. They are ridding the company of people who care or who have been there too long and deciding to outsource or hire people they can pay less. I used to love this place and now I just feel scared and stressed with more work to do but less people to help out.

Pros

Off on weekends Start pay is ok

Cons

Health equity/WAGEWORKS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY! I have been on both sides of the company a customer and worker. On the customer side their system never worked for cobra . It is very out of date and they never send update information the your insurance carriers how they are suppose to. On the worker side it is an okay job until you start training and what they train you on barely prepare you for the calls that come in. Also, when customers leave negative reviews on the company it effects the customer service rep numbers when they clearly are talking about the company not agents.. They will fire them based off those results. I was so upset when they advised they will let us go when we received bad reviews because of the company migration and say on the paperwork we didn’t meet goals because of bad surveys against the company because they fee you can tune the customers mood around when they are upset about their coverage or money. The surveys are sent out to random members and once they write their review on the company as a whole it takes the agents results down if it is negative. I have never worked for a unorganized business like this in my life. I would not recommend to work for them or have them as a third party. I feel so sorry for agents and customers.
