Pros

Great benefits package. Great employee purchase programs available from manufacturer. Opportunities to be promoted from within. Talented low-level management and good people on sales team.

Cons

Hours are terrible (60+ hours per week with every Saturday and the occasional Sunday). Hours are unpredictable and make family and social life difficult. Pay plan is overly complicated and full of nearly impossible qualifiers that make bonuses nonexistent. Micromanagement is rampant. Top-level management is disconnected and more concerned with profit than taking care of employees.

Pros

The management is eager to get things going in this new huge facility and the place look great, but that's it.

Cons

They promise you great payments and benefits but what finally arrives on your bank account is just ridiculous if you are not in internet sales and have already a customer base which you bring to this company. $1400/month is the base net salary and from thereon the "sky is the limit". But that's it. 60-80 hours per week are easily on the schedule and the pay finally 50% of WALMART. Sales Associates are constantly manipulated and motivated but the volume of customers (on the weekend) stands in no relation to the count of sales staff. 50 visitors on a Saturday are handled by 18 (!) Sales Associates and finally 5 cars sold. Within the week it's mostly slow or dead. You can't make a living with that. Pure panic within 70% of the employees is standard.

Pros

anyone can get hired there is a constant turnover

Cons

The sales reps get the bottom of the barrel for pay. It is all commissions, you are not appreciated for your time commitment, the pay is very poor in todays standards. The upper mgmt team at each dealership makes tons of money while everyone else does the work. Only the "buddies" of the GM get promoted and it's all about screwing the public...nobody gets a deal except the dealership.
