Pros
At this point just making friends at work. I fully believe Mr. Hendrick is a wholesome person but isnt in tune with what happens at his dealerships.
Cons
Long hours, management by fear, constant money/bonuses being taken away. Upper management treats the production employees like sub human. Taking vacation days away, closing the dealer for holidays without pay, making it hard to succeed at any level. Promising bonuses/raises for additional training/certifications and not honoring them. No hiring from within, moving up the ranks isnt possible for non-sales employees. If you speak up about anything thats wrong or speak your concerns upper management will tell you “find another (you know what) job.” Upper management will pressure technicians and sales staff to break company policy, guidelines, and the law to sell a car. If you push back and stand your ground to do the right thing, management will belittle you. Company heads at Corporate really need to communicate with the lower level non-management commission employees who make the day to day operations possible to really know whats happening at these High-line stores. The turnover at these dealers should be a red flag indicator. I work along side multiple employees with close to or more than 10 years who are highly considering finding a new career path. This company was great when I first was hired but greed from Market Area heads is making this company unbearable to work for. The constant push for high goals and more profit is taking a toll the people and making Hendrick’s used car quality poor.
