HJF is a non-profit organization and the salaries are not competitive compared to pharmaceutical and tech company salaries with similar roles, This is team-specific, but the team I was on struggled to prioritize work, say no on new potential projects when needed, and/or set appropriate work boundaries (i.e., not hiring sufficient staff to complete tasks despite employee recommendations). Substantial work is also needed in the area of diversity within leadership. For example, I'm aware of multiple teams that only include white males who are over age 50 despite having many experienced women in lower roles in the same department that have the experience and personality to take on greater leadership roles.

If you're going to work for HJF within IDCRP, do not go to IDCRP at WRNMMC. Management runs everyone away. Multiple staffers left during my first 6 months there with the majority of them working for only 6-8 months or less. These were great workers, stressed out by management. Other staff went part time, while another takes medical leave for 3 months every few months, leaving all of the work to 2 coordinators who were overworked and underpaid. There's no room for growth except after years go by, when you're stressed and overworked already after 3 months. Lastly, there's no proper on-sight training because everyone there that can help, has quit and management will tell you they don't know and refer you to someone else, or tell you they don't know the intricacies of the studies and you'll be figuring things out yourself. Everyone past and present notes the management is causing people to run away, but nothing is ever done about it.
