Pros

Great culture, support & team culture/atmosphere. Can transfer to any location throughout country (300+ locations US & Canada) Great reputation in industry.

Cons

The equipment rental industry is a beast itself - the only cons to working at Herc rentals would be dependent upon your location because of different personalities/branches.

Lack of Innovation / Internal Mobility

Pros

The company is growing and has a great employee stock program. The benefits and pay are great. The company's finances are steady and consistent.

Cons

Herc has limited positions that are not "clock-in"/"clock-out". They culture is very oldschool, with little oppertunity for growth. You start on the counter and either go into sales or operations. Their corporate headquarters is located in Florida and doesn't offer a hybrid schedule for 90% of the workforce, which limits the quality of personnel and diversity. The managment at each branch lacks grammer and overal emotional intelligence.
