Great place to "cut your teeth" in sales

Pros

Summers off, Christmas break off, flexibility is huge. You are very autonomous in this job. If you get a good territory you are going to be fine.

Cons

If you get less than stellar territory you won't make any more money. No matter how hard you work. The economy has hit this industry hard.

Two of best reasons to work at Herff Jones are: 1) Employee-owned company, 2) 401K matching, 3) Great management team and 4) Nice paid holidays.

Cons

Their employee health benefits are to expensive.

The job is super-flexible and you are really in control of your own success.

Cons

However, there is quite a bit of dirty play when it comes to the title of "Independent Consultant". You need to be really careful when signing your contract and know that you are only an Independent Consultant when it suits the company, not when you need it. You will be forced to do things and you will not get any benefits. That's not the definition of Independent Consultant and it causes a lot of problems in the job.
