Cons

Some employees are too comfortable just getting by waiting for retirement. loss of enthusiasm. Employees who complain about management and offer nothing to improve themselves.

Management is very secretive - you're on a "need-to-know" basis There is not much room to grow Promotion is either based on time in the subordinate role or how well you are liked by senior management.
