A company is only as good as its HR department. With this being said, this company is in sad shape. Why don't you ask HR how many employees the company had 5 years ago and how many they have today? Ask them how many employees they have lost in their own department. Although, you may find it difficult to locate one of the managers in HR. If you can't find one it's probably because they are all gathered in a fellow manager's office gossiping. It's how that department has rolled for years. The interesting part about it is that upper management seems to be okay with this. Don't ever let HR know something unless you want the rest of the company to find out.

The ESOP is gone, they no longer match 401K and their insurance is not that good. Their product line is dying and the new ownership will not allow them to stay in business when their sales declined $3 million dollars as they did last year. The outlook is bleak for the company as I doubt very much it will be around in 2-3 years as the investment group will probably start selling off the pieces. Employee morale is very low.
