Cons

Someone needs to review General Manager work ethics and conduct. Please review the following information. - she only hires family and friends. Family friends get Employee of quarter. When other front desk staff and housekeepers are working endlessly for the hotels success and guest can have a comfortable rest. - Manager would do house parties with employees - When one of her friends is challenged at the site she would be very biast. She would show favoritism and share it. - Employee would no call no show more than 1ce or 2ce a month without any kind of documentation. Than she would cover the shifts or have assistant working doubles and triple shifts. You were always overwhelmed, overworked and poor gratification. - Employees be over worked in back of the house, with no support or little help. - No maintenance staff. He goes home by 3pm, - Front desk staff would not be relieved for breaks. - Shortage of supplies- never ordered enough so she can stay under budget. Any guests all the time. - She would inform guests of work confidential information about employees and say “just between you and I” - There is an open door policy which is shared with other close friends who work with her. Becomes a loyalty pattern, “you scratch my back and I will scratch your back” - proof of retaliation and harassment on job of few employee. - Never got a weekend off. Always was told you are my assistant for a reason. - She would invite the hotel guests over for dinner with her husband. - She loves to give hugs, nice big warm hugs. There are no boundaries between guests and employees. Highgate should be sued for sexual harassment. - Ethics of conduct was never a policy in this workplace. - Emails are available as proof. - as long as you are her Facebook friend, you will never have a disciplinary action. - Maintenance never held accountable. Comes and goes as pleases. Rooms are dirty with mold and needing maintenance repairs. Rooms are not on a PM schedule. Mostly sits in GM office and supervises housekeepers. Great at being a porter but thats about it. - Housekeepers on cell phones watching videos and chatting with family while working. Cleaning 8 rooms takes 8 hours or milking the clock. Breakfast storage was a filthy mess. Seen roaches and ants everywhere.

Pros

Only reason the pay is great is because they are contractually obligated by a Union.

Cons

Not exactly sure why Highgate insists on being in hospitality when hospitality is the very last thing they think about. Management is AWFUL. No people skills but great a demotivating an entire staff.
