Pros
Jeans. And it's pretty sad that the only thing I can think of is the fact that the companied allowed jeans. Pros used to be bonus, work from home, home/life balance, location and cutting edge company.
Cons
Decisions are made based on metrics. It doesn't matter if the decision hurts the customer or the client. Off sourcing has taken a dark turn. When management's mantra is 'perhaps you should find another job' instead of listening to the employees, there is a problem. Bonuses have been removed. Work from home has been virtually eliminated. Employees are not replaced when they leave; work is merely spread among those who are left. Fear is palatable and there is a nasty 'us against them' mentality when it comes to management. I never felt as if management would ever listen to anything I said no matter how much I documented it (And I did.) My manager once called me on the carpet because I didn't answer my phone after work. I explained to him that I had put on my calendar that I would be unavailable and that there should have been a backup. He said it didn't matter. When my phone rings, I am responsible for answering it no matter what. That pretty much says it all about how much they now care about your home life.
