Pros

Base, non-union pay in the corporate office starts at $14/hr for hourly, base Salary is only slightly better (roughly $500/week take home). Company paid medical and life benefits. Sponsored vision, dental, and AD&D and disability. Very good health/ Rx coverage. Usually flexible work hours, unless you're in their customer service dept. Anyone not in customer service can take an hour long unpaid lunch. Many potlucks for holidays and sometimes just because. They call themselves "foodies".

Cons

Shady management practices. They will approve a paid time off request then the week before give the time off to another employee which prevents you from taking your time off. The work environment is basically adult high school. There are a lot of clicks. A lot of people spread gossip, including managers and directors. Hourly employees get walked on and expected to do more than people at other companies in the same positions and Salaried employees because they are non-union and paid more than minimum wage. They would rather bring a temp in for a job than promote someone from within. They have a bad habit of keeping temps on for long periods of time without ever hiring. If you apply to an internal job posting, your immediate supervisor is informed. Also, they allow your supervisor/manager to keep you from accepting another internal job offer if they don't want you to leave the department.

Pros

Very competitive pay. Good benefits. Car reimbursement (miles and maintenance).

Cons

Systems are archaic. After being on the road all day visiting customers in your territory you must return home and log your appointments into their mainframe. The system is slower than dial up and the least user-friendly program I've ever seen. Expectations for Account Executives are to meet 8 daily appointments with current and prospective customers. Given the vast area you cover, you are guaranteed 4-5+ hours of driving. Which makes it difficult to conduct effective appointments with your clients.

Pros

Good pay and insurance paid sick days and vacation (but it takes time to get it) overtime pay after 8 hours and you will get plenty of overtime.

Cons

12 to 14 hour days .. just a start time you never know when you will get off work so it makes it hard for a home life or to try to schedule anything during the week. Always feel like management is trying to find anything they can to write people up, I hear they have a quota.
