Poor diagnostics acquisitions and management of acquisitions All politics at levels above Senior Scientist Only favorites can get promotions Huge layoffs of actually strong contributors -- remaining staff just play politics Uncompetitive salary -- just compare to job listings at Illumina, BD, GenMark, etc

High Expectations, Limited Support: A Challenging Environment for Growth

Free gym on campus, highly-rated cuisine at cafeteria, plenty of learning opportunities across departments, very clean and upkept office spaces/meeting rooms, great benefits (stocks, medical/dental)

Cons

Growth is political, HR doesn't take care of personnel issues, last minute scheduling changes suggest lack of cohesiveness across planning, poor financial decisions with company money, change is necessary but takes years to complete, lack of direction for employees wanting to move up

The bathrooms are clean. Coworkers are nice.

Cons

Complete lack of training, you have no chance of moving up. Minimal diversity in departments. Tenured employees sit back and make temp employees do all the work. Expect to be lied to by management. Don't expect to earn any raises or get any feedback on your performance
