Gaslighting HR department

Pros

Wonderful team mates, flex time, remote, good benefits

Cons

Burnout is imminent, doesn't seem interested in retention, CEO has his head in the clouds- (try working in the trenches with partners and your care team for a couple of weeks or so- Might change some things)HR department is proven to side with the company as very unfair practices take place and have seen it turned around on the employee. Very sad to watch people who dedicate so much of themselves get treated unfairly when it's not just.

Pros

Worked with some really great people, WFH, FTO (although it's like pulling teeth to get it)

Cons

Where should I start? Zero work life balance, unrealistic expectations, unequal pay, Gaslighting with a capital G, Upper leaders are clueless as to what their teams truly experience every day, Sub par performers somehow slip up the ladder I could go on... But the worst is the HCN or Honor Care Network... see below

First, we’re sorry to hear about your experience with our HCN partners and Honor’s management. We take input from our employees—past and present—seriously. Regarding your frustration with work/life balance. Yes, it’s a constant challenge, for individuals and companies alike. And the truth is, there will be occasions when we’re putting in extra hours to meet an important deadline or cover a staffing shortage. But it shouldn’t always be like that. To that end, we’ve been hiring more people and implementing managerial training to help leaders lead in a way that better integrates their teams’ personal time. Like many other companies, Honor benchmarks our pay against national averages and provides opportunities for merit adjustments annually. We review our pay structure regularly and can confirm that we offer equal pay for equal work. We also lay out expectations for each roll clearly during our one-week onboarding process. If expectations for you changed in a way that you felt was unfair or unrealistic, again, we would love to speak with you directly at the phone number above to better understand the situation. We wish you all the best and plenty of balance in your future work.

Thank you for sharing about your experience at Honor, and we’re happy to hear that you connected well with your coworkers and enjoyed the fast-paced startup environment. As a growing startup, we have had to continually evolve and change to best support all who we care for - our clients, our Care Pros, our partners, and our internal team. Sometimes this means that employees leave because the startup environment is not a good fit for them at that time in their lives. Sometimes it means that as our organizational structure evolves, it leads to difficult decisions about changing or eliminating roles. Our goal is to foster a mission-driven culture where our employees, Care Pros, and clients feel valued and supported.
