Pros

Telecommuting is an option for most staff.

Cons

Wage stagnation for the last three years. Review period is August-July annually, but merit raises are not released until October or sometimes mod-January regardless of performance. Organizational structure is set, so no growth potential unless someone above leaves their post.

Pros

Great benefits, excellent staff. My director is caring and understands the needs of the department. My staff share in the workload, always willing to help one another to get work done or adjust schedule.

Cons

Too top-heavy from AVP level and up. It's discouraging that we continue to higher executive positions when departments are being reorganized and continues throughout the organization.
