Low wages and lack of bonuses make HonorHealth a loser in todays economy

Pros

Loved working here it has great people, great sense of community and the patient population is excellent.

Cons

The lack of competitive wages and benefits are abysmal in todays economy. The lower end of staff (think patient care techs, evs, operations), all make nothing in todays world. It’s really mind blowing to know you could make more working at Chick-fil-A but you are doing very important work, you are working with the dignity of patients, and their livelihood that may require intervention to save a life. Even with market adjustments this is still considered a losing pay with a wage gap as wide and deep as the Grand Canyon. Lack of bonuses is extremely concerning (even given bonuses are so tiny in the first place), benefits are out of touch and not competitive to todays time, mental health benefits are not anywhere near todays world.

Pros

Tuition reimbursement, computers in every patient room, nurses station somewhat private, give work phones to use to save time for patient care, small bonus around Christmas time

Cons

Always short staffed and not paid appropriately for inflation increase. When minimum wage was $8, PCT's made $12. Minimum wage is now $11 and PCT pay is still $12.

Pros

Great coworkers Great education program Great benefits (if you stay in network) Value patient experience

Cons

Low pay (5 years total and still under 30,000, ridiculous) No raises - keep finding a reason to delay or some reach the max No bonuses - keep finding excuse to say we didn't meet our expectations Sick time - not enough if you have to take care of family and yourself Meet financial goals but none go to employees
