Pros

Remote work, great benefits, overall good people to work with

Cons

new CEO doesn't care about the little man in the company and doesn't care about a company culture. After HR was fired anything making this company fun and unique stopped. The turnover rate is through the roof and everyone acts like it's normal. Pay is low for the positions

What compels you? If you can define that, then you can define success. I meet with all of our new hires and we talk about that measure, success. For the 150+ new people that have joined Housecall Pro in the last six months, the most common answers are: “drawn to our mission of helping Pros”, “the people I met with are really smart and passionate”, “I want to be a part of a fast-growing business”. People want to be be in a scaling business with a true-north that matters - that’s like a unicorn flying on a magic carpet its so rare. Arguably, Housecall Pro has it. So for you, you have to define if success is being a part of an extraordinary story, working with exceptional people and managers and taking care of a customer who is the backbone of our economy. No one person, our CEO nor our head of people defines that measure for anyone else; that decision is up to you.

Pros

-Co-Workers. I met great people. -There were a few years where it was a fun place to work and the workload was reasonable. -The benefits are decent.

Cons

There are a lot. -The lack of support for teams with new features. Once you’re trained to be in a team the training stops. You have to figure it out on your own, many times while dealing with a Pro and an issue. -So many notes and it’s always changing or doesn’t function properly. Are y’all ever going to get SF to work for you? It wastes a ton of time. -Micromanaging it didn’t used to be somatic driven. It’s all about numbers. “Champion the Pro” used to mean something. So did “Enjoy the Journey”. It became a stressful thankless job with more and more meetings and less and less time to do the notes. With no overtime allowed. -Many unfulfilled promises. -The company brags about how much they make but don’t give raises like they used to or they skip them all together. Busting your butt all year gets you a $1.00. -There are some seriously toxic managers. There are some great ones too. There are some that used to be great and then they became terrible after becoming managers. The golden age to work at HCP has passed. They’re moving a lot of their jobs over seas and implementing Ai. I’ll be surprised if half of the American workforce is there in the next two years. Either by choice or being pushed out. Many people are jumping ship. I thought I’d work there for a long time. I had a plan, but promises promises… I hope everyone who is left gets treated better or finds better.

Pros

You get to use bonusly. Environment outside of HCPA is a complete 180.

Cons

Quick burn out, low staffing, quantity over quality, product and procedures are awful, you are trained one way to then be told that’s wrong and a constant back and fourth. No opportunity for growth.

Fastest growing business unit in HCP and we have a stellar team in the virtual assistant function. A really great success story for our Pros and our team. I am truly surprised by your response and it sounds like it just wasn't a good fit for you.
