Pros

7 years on I'm incredibly happy at HubSpot. I have the opportunity to work with amazing people every day and I'm grateful for my time here. My team is made up of the best sales reps in Boston - overachievers who are motivated, smart, fun, and a pleasure to work with. It's one of the first places I've seen a sales floor where the team is actually collaborative, i.e. they are invested in each others success and will give their time to help others with no expectation of return. I've been in a number of roles at HubSpot and learn something new every day here. The executive team cares deeply about doing the right thing for customers, partners, and employees and building a lasting example of the right way to build a business.

Cons

There's plenty we still need to figure out, as a scaling up business we can often move too fast. Some stuff gets rolled out only to get rolled back when we discover unintended consequences. In some cases the left hand doesn't talk to the right and we find changes out well after they happen which leaves us scrambling with individual contributors or customers. Things change constantly so you will always need to be adapting, there's no such thing as resting on your laurels or coasting (for me change is actually a positive, but could be hard for people who don't like change and we can continue to get better at change management.)

7 years with us!? Thank you so much for your service and for helping us grow better during that time, our sales team is lucky to have your leadership. I agree we have work to do ensuring that we walk the walk on reducing friction in every aspect of our buying process-it's a key discussion point in recent management meetings, so rest assured the leadership team is on the case. Thank you for calling out that our culture and company are still meaningful to you seven years in, and a big thank you for all your hard work every day! Sincerely, Katie

Pros

Transparency and education - From the executives to individual contributors what is being worked on is clearly communicated across the organization. Further more it's not just what has being worked on but lessons learned being shared. It's like an on going MBA every day. Culture/HubSpot Values - Working with smart, humble remarkable individuals makes going to work both challenging and refreshing. Growth opportunities - For those that are driven and take initiative there is endless opportunity for growth

Cons

We move fast and pivot quickly, sometimes this creates additional work but is worth it in the end.

Love that you call out growth and that the access to information makes you feel like you're getting an MBA every day, I happen to agree. I promise we're hitting the gas on continuing to grow better in every way, whether that's moving the needle on NPS, continuing to make HubSpot more diverse and inclusive, or increasing our global impact--thanks for all you do and for writing up a review! -Katie

Awesome place to work

Pros

HubSpot practices what they preach in terms of transparency. All employees are kept in the loop on what leadership is thinking, how the company is doing, and what's on the upcoming roadmap. As an employee, I'm given a creative license to make my role into whatever I'd like it to be and take on any additional projects I'm interested in pursuing. Additionally, the people here (sounds cliche) make coming to work everyday truly enjoyable.

Cons

I don't think there are any cons. It's a great place to work.
