Overall my time with Humana was great. Growing my career and reaping financial rewards came along with succeeding at work.

Cons

Your direct supervisor is the only thing that matters. If you work for a great boss, stick with him/her. If you work for a weak or inexperienced supervisor, you might be next for RIF. I survived multiple RIFs with the company because my boss recognized my contribution and went to bat for me. The one that caught me off guard was due to the weak boss unwilling to go to bat for his people. C’est la vie…I’m better off 2 years later but the value of a great boss can’t be understated.
