beautiful Las Vegas Desert location, good co-workers, good pay and benefits

Cons

poor management, no accountability they blame the workers for missed deadlines, no work/ life balance (behind schedule due to poor management), poor use of investment funds (wasted materials), lack of direction (replaced CEO without explanation, replaced with an engineer not a corporate leader), there is disregard for safety (no support upper management), "we need to get it done at any cost" attitude, "better to ask for forgiveness, than get permission" quote from VP of engineering regarding safety

It's the most high-performance culture I've ever seen: radical openness and transparency, accountability, hard on the problems and soft on the people. And the mission is a stunner -- see the website!

Pros

Great team effort from Engineering to final project production. Management worked hard to conform to critical path requirements with providing resources that were not always readily available. Amazing talent worked towards the actual goal of making the system "fly".

Cons

Felt often that it was a "good ole boy" club at the LA office and if you were not part of that group, you were left out. Shares were a joke, provided even a bonus share that was later taken back without even an explanation. Waited for the tap on the shoulder for more than 6 months, once you could tell monies were an issue. The spend initially for parties and other events was questionable. After they dismissed the entire Las Vegas team and most of the LA team, it was clear this start up was a joke. Even senior members of the team had issues with even some possible sexual harassment venues.
