Pros

Benefits and easy work. You can do as little work as you want if you're clever about it.

Cons

Complete lack of employee development and constant fear of additional layoffs. When the layoffs come around, politically connected worthless people continue to survive while people who have contributed consistently over the years get walked out. I have never seen such horrible morale at company.

Pros

Work-life balance is great. OK benefits. Awesome co-workers.

Cons

Constant impending layoffs and "At Will" firings are not helping morale. There is a severe lack of loyalty to hard working employees at this company. Everyone here is in constant fear for their jobs and livelihood. CEO could care less about the people that make this place tick. She's playing Jenga with the workforce and removing integral key employees that are not easily replaced.

House of Cards (and Lies)

Pros

Quality people in the rank-n-file level positions. Good name recognition, resume builder, stepping stone. Global reach.

Cons

Where to start? The company is in freefall, big layoffs coming within weeks -- they will probably time it just ahead of next earnings call. The CEO is problematic, for reasons others have mentioned. Take a look at all of her VP level hires, how have they panned out? What is the common thread among them (besides no industry knowledge and command of buzz words)? If you look at that (upper management) you start to understand why this once great company is in decline, why some on here are pandering publicly about how great it is because they are afraid they will get laid off soon and why the morale and productivity at IGT is at an all time low.
