Pros

Absolutely nothing to say here since iris took over. Staff churn of existing data plan team is horrific.

Cons

The team are in the worst place, I have never seen anything this bad. Iris managers have single handedly destroyed the data plan team and our reputation. Our managers are wanting to leave and get out of iris, team leaders are just processors so what hope have we got as a team?

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although we’re surprised and disappointed by your comments. We’re very proud of our extensive track record of growing by acquiring fantastic organisations and supporting them as they continue their success and growth. We recognise that going through an acquisition and experiencing change can be challenging but we’ve refined our acquisitions and integration processes through experience and are proud to have a dedicated team within IRIS focused on welcoming new businesses into the IRIS family and ensuring everyone feels like #1RIS. By joining a larger organisation our acquisitions benefit from access to increased investment to develop their products, extensive training and development opportunities, and are able to participate in our various engagement initiatives, reward and benefit programmes which they may not have access to previously. We’re delighted to have seen many rising stars from acquired companies who have taken their careers to new heights at IRIS that wouldn’t have been possible in a smaller business. The HR team have been working with the Dataplan team to overcome some of the challenges you’ve been facing, for example, Team Leads now have responsibility for ensuring the success of their teams and are not assigned specific client payrolls themselves. This frees up their time to support and develop their teams. As we continue to grow as a global business, we need to ensure that we have managed payroll talent across a range of locations. We’re delighted that our people based in India, the Americas, and Romania are wholly part of the passionate team we have within IRIS. Recently, we’ve seen the benefits to business where we’ve extended the family into our Centres of Excellence to allow us to extend time zones to increase hours of support and continue to innovate. To continue as a successful business, we need to ensure that we have teams in the right place and in the right regions, responding at the right time for our customers. We’re proud to operate a total reward package at IRIS, including extensive and tailorable benefits, bonus schemes for all, increased holiday entitlement, pay scales and commission in select departments, and fantastic opportunities for recognition, training, and career growth. Our companywide annual salary review process uses external benchmarking data to ensure consistency and fairness in assigning increases and to ensure we’re paying the market rate. We work together with Heads of Function and Senior Management to assign consistent increases using best practises and standardised rules, and our managers receive extensive training on how salaries are decided. We also operate pay scales in select department, which enables our employees to grow their salaries as their skills develop, which are reviewed in line with the cost of living each year. Please check out our ‘Pay and Reward’ page on our intranet for more details on our compensation philosophy. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please reach out to the HR team or email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

No pros , worst place I have worked in my 15 year Sales career. Avoid !

Cons

If you value your career never step foot in this toxic place. I was employed last year in field sales, looking after existing clients. I was promised 150-200 clients , but in reality I had slightly over 50 and a £1M target. A handful of the field team that have been promoted through inside sales, have all the larger clients , and you are left with scraps. The staff churn is horrendous , I was the last person left from my cohort with most people leaving within the first 6 months. I worked with a few people who were sacked or left within the first 4-6 weeks. The culture is horrific and management play you off against each other. Deals are stolen not just from the sales person but from internal teams too. This corruption goes straight to the top.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although we’re surprised and disappointed by your comments. The Commercial Leadership team are invested in the success of IRIS and each individual and help employees by supporting them to get deals over the line or are available for a chat when they are in our Manchester office. We have also invested in improvements to our data, systems, and marketing teams to support all of our sales professionals. We also provide our sales teams with performance mindset coaches and nutritionists, support increased movement and activity in the working day, offer great incentives, and give everyone the opportunity to maximise their earnings. We want to ensure that everyone has the tools and resources they need to be successful and we’re proud to heavily invest in a range of different training opportunities and ongoing professional development for our teams. We also work hard across IRIS to give all managers the skills they need to motivate, develop and inspire their teams, and we created our dedicated leadership pathways, open to all levels of management to provide ongoing support to unlock our managers potential and ensure they’re performing at their best. These are also CMI accredited which all of our sales leaders are expected to undertake. Employee feedback is always important to us, and we encourage all of our employees to share with us their great feedback in our monthly engagement survey Peakon. We are continuing to increase the engagement in our Sales team and are so pleased that employees have scored us 9 out of 10 on ‘Caring’ within Management Support. We also encourage our employees to reach out to our Employee Voice Ambassadors, who are given dedicated training on how to interpret and action Peakon feedback, facilitate meetings, and lead with empathy. We are proud to have 10 ambassadors in Sales & Marketing, who listen to the teams’ collective voices to be cascaded up to our senior leaders and executive team, thereby helping implement positive change and further improve engagement. We’re sorry to hear that this hasn’t been your experience and would encourage you to reach out to our HR Director for Commercial, Kerry McAtkin, so that we can help put things right. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please reach out to the HR team or email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. Kind regards, the HR team
