Pros

You get a cost of living pay increase every January and a raise every year if you are successful at your job. There is lots of opportunity for advancement if you're young and have time to work your way up the ladder.

Cons

Advancement is hard as there are tenure requirements for every role. It doesn't matter if your experience and skills are a perfect match, you can't be considered for a position unless you've put in the required amount of time

Pros

It’s sustainable and secure. Most jobs are a specific area of tax process.

Cons

Revolving door of managers, due to promotion opportunity. Expertise is there but they do not take well to new modern attitudes or adapt to technology evolution very well.
