Pros

Good Base Pay nice benefits

Cons

We can't hit a target and snicker when CPO talks IPO, in my opinion, it will never ever happen. Salespeople are the most disgruntled at what is happening here and i have 10 friends with their resumes on the street to run out of here. Onboarding was an absolute nightmare. CEO is invisible, Chief People Officer is the biggest sycophant and self-promoter we've ever seen. His people whisper and laugh at his fakeness---we all see through. time to move onto yet another job orange suit hype man

Hi there and thanks for taking time to share how you're feeling about your experience here. Each of us in the leadership team are in service to our people, and I'm disappointed to hear that we're missing the mark for you. With the value we've placed on transparency, in our recent all hands, you and the team heard about the number of areas where our business and our positive impact to customers is growing in ways that I know we all can be proud of. And in the spirit of accountability, I own and take onboard your feedback about how I'm showing up for you as the leader in service of the People function. We want you to have the employee experience you deserve, and as someone who has been in service to organizations throughout my career, my door is open for your feedback about where and how we - and I - can build on our strengths and improve on the specific areas were you would like to see focus. Thanks, David Chief People Officer

If you were still with the company, I’d invite you to come speak with me so that I could listen and learn more about your perspective. We have also introduced several ways to have candid conversations. These take the shape of 360s at all levels, monthly team huddles with an anonymity Q&A option, pulse surveys and Slack ask-me-anything channels. These channels remain active and lively with employee engagement. Thank you for sharing your input and I wish you the very best. - Emily Couey, SVP of People

Rock bottom?

Pros

Great product, nice building, free food and good healthcare.

Cons

Management is going to be the ultimate down fall of Illumio. There is definitely a “boys club” mentality where all the managers hire friends and old coworkers and because they do that, there’s a lot of favoritism. Management has no empathy and because of that, so many people that have left were very mistreated and the people that are here are still mistreated. Their check up on you is just so that they can tell HR that they did, not because they really care. Everything that is told to us is very sugar coated and scripted so we never really know what’s going on. In a matter of eight months the culture of this company has become toxic. No one is willing to help each other due to the fact that they’re worried about their own employment. This place has become depressing, and no one really wants to come in. I wonder if this is rock bottom or if there’s still a ways to go.

Given your concerns that everything is "sugar coated and scripted", I’ll be as direct and forthright as you know I usually am. Over the 6+ years of Illumio's existence, we have probably been 3 different companies in order to to get to where we are today. We’ve grown a lot, we are still learning, with our team, and we are still running to the challenges of creating a company. As I said in a previous response, we are launching a regular 360' feedback cycle that our entire team will go through—including all of our execs - that's happening right now. This means that if a manager “doesn’t really care” or “people are mistreated,” the structure is now in place to make sure that information is visible at all levels and I can assure you it will get the attention it needs. If you are still on the team, I hope you are seeing the continued progress we are making to become the best company possible and a place where you can develop and feel supported. - Scott
