Pros

Nice office with great cubes, great employees and a nice location that is close to a lot of restaurants.

Cons

I have been at Ineight for 2 years now and all I can say is it’s the worst job I have had in my career. The Kiewit leadership team that is in place at Ineight does not have a clue how to run a software company and it really shows. We have had a steady stream of gifted talent leave and with each departure they bring in another Kiewit employee to replace them, these folks are lacking in skillset and it’s driving this place into the ground. What started out as a very promising place to work has ended up as the absolute worst. The product team has been moved to Kiewit headquarters in Omaha and the engineering team has remained in Scottsdale but the word is they are going to move everything back to Omaha soon. I have to agree with all the comments left recently and most employees feel the same, that is why they are all looking for other employment.

Pros

All the employees below upper level management are great to work with. They are intelligent and experienced in software development. They work well with each other and support their co-workers. The diverse backgrounds of the employees works well together.

Cons

The only way to succeed in this company is if you are a current or former employee of Kiewit. Upper level management lacks leadership and promotes discrimination of all kinds against employees. Lower level employees receive hostile treatment when they go against anything suggested by Kiewit employees. Date driven goals instead of development driven. The company thinks more like a construction company than a software development company.

Pros

Free snacks and drinks. Lunch on fridays.

Cons

- Applying construction project principals to software projects - Hire new people and blame them for their own failures and then fire them
