Pros

Free lunch on Tuesdays, and pantry of snacks

Cons

Everything. Workload was immense, pay rate was low, yearly increase was low, and too much focus on evaluations. They ding you for every small mistake made and hang it over your head. They make it hard for you to succeed. This job will suck the life out of your soul. If you really need a job, take this and use it as a stepping stone into something better. Get out as quickly as possible because this place is absolutely awful.

Thank you so much for providing your feedback. We are happy that you found the free weekly lunch and snacks provided as a positive aspect of our environment. These costs are definitely not a normal part of most company budgets, but our team members really appreciate them so we assure that it is line item each year when we forecast our annual costs. We do acknowledge that we have a fast pace environment as we’ve experienced a lot of growth recently. We add a number of new customers each day due to the quality of our services. Word is quickly spreading that InMotion is a leader in the web hosting and design industry and as such, our new customer base and the number of existing customer that renew with us is positively impacted. - Our Sales department is expanding to account for the increase in customer volume. We recently hired a Sales Team Lead and have 2 openings due to growth. - In March 2016 we updated the Sales compensation structure to ensure our employees are recognized and rewarded for their hard work. - Sales team members received a base increase and their commission program was restructured. Top performers are pacing to earn $60,000 this year. - All team members are eligible for profit sharing twice yearly; with payouts ranging between 2-10% of their annual base. We acknowledge and respect that this environment was not a fit for you. But we really do appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback. We always assess input for opportunities to improve, as we want InMotion to be a positive experience for all team members. If you have any further feedback or questions for us, feel free to contact us at hr@inmotionhosting.com.

Pros

If you are an expert with Linux (Bash based) and can handle 4 chats at once while following every company policy, you will succeed Company will give you a hiring and relocation bonus Good Products

Cons

Everything is rushed You will not get your lunches or breaks if the companies busy- but they will feed you if this comes up If your working 3rd shift, you cannot have holidays off This place has a revolving door (people either quit or get fired very quickly) InMotion is severely low staffed Higher tier employees have bad temperament, attitude, and ego Supervisors and Leads are two-faced They require you take 4 chats at once or take a phone call with a chat, and an email at the same time. It is extremely critical in the companies eye that your able to handle this The company will change its policies and interpret them differently manager to manager If the company made changes to its policies and you were previously written up, they wont pardon you if the new rules are in your favor. Extremely micro-managed If you accidentally forget a company policy because you're taking multiple contacts, The company will terminate your employment if it happens again (even if its a mistake) The hiring and relocation bonus needs to be paid back if you decide quit or if they end your employment within a year. The company fights unemployment every step of the way (This is the first job I ever been let go from) If you are constantly worried about not being good enough for the job- Do not apply here even if they say they will train you.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoy our products and appreciate the relocation assistance and sign on bonus we provide to team members. - To best support our customers we do have minimum performance requirements in place. Multitasking is essential in order to ensure all customers are receiving exceptional service in regards to their accounts with InMotion. We do have a monthly bonus system that acknowledges team members that exceed expectations. In August, the monthly average bonus was $219 with the highest being $1,050. - With continued customer growth our staff does have to adjust accordingly. We ended August with 13 internal promotions, this does not include new team members. While this does create a lot of change occurring at one time, we do enjoy promoting from within and seeing team members grow professionally. - While changes to policies may occur we do assure that they are fully communicated and have an electronic system in place for team members to acknowledge receipt and understanding. We do expect our entire team to adhere to policies that are in place to assure consistency with the customer and team member experience. - While we can't discuss reasons for termination, unless a person has conduct/behavior for which we have zero tolerance we provide team members with multiple opportunities to correct failures to meet expectations. We also have an appeal process that team members can utilize if they would like additional factors to be considered. - Our trainers work very closely with new employees to make sure they are comfortable with our systems and procedures before the employee moves to the floor. We even have mock and monitored contacts to familiarize our new representatives with everything involved in being successful in the position. Time spent in training can be extended or shortened depending on our employee's progress to ensures that the individual needs of all employees are being addressed. We appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback while understanding and respecting that this environment was not a fit for you. We are always open to any suggestions regarding opportunities to improve, as we want InMotion to be a positive experience for all team members. If you have any further feedback or questions for us, feel free to contact us at hr@inmotionhosting.com.

Pros

Very uplifting and friendly atmosphere, If you enjoy web hosting and technical support this is a great place to learn new skills from people that are really smart at what they do. QA is very nice and helpful.

Cons

The job is a call center job, no sugar coating that. I wouldn't say typical call center however. You will do chats and calls at the same time. As well as being postured with up to 4 customers in chat with sometimes very complex issues that you are expected to resolve quickly. You will fight tooth and nail to get break and your lunch my be postponed and/or cancelled on occasion if not enough people volunteer their lunch for the sake of volume. Training is almost non-existent in it's current form and they don't pay any attention to you once you leave training. You will be expected to make 6 contacts per hour which may not sound like a lot but with the complexity of the issues and the type of customers that have 1,000 questions you will find it increasingly difficult to hit that number. Don't expect to have weekly interactions with your manager or be coached on a regular basis on your progress, you will fend for yourself in this environment. The turn over in much higher than any typical call center I've ever seen. They put a lot on their workers and some thrive in this environment as it is the standard in the web hosting industry. You will be paid fairly while you get started but that pay will drop off and you will be expected to be hitting over your 6 CPH and pass quality before you can make enough in bonuses to make what you were making during your training phase. It's very tough to get a stable footing in this company and if you don't have at least 2-3 years in a large web hosting company doing 3+ chats concurrently, and having your breaks and lunches postponed please don't take a job here. For your sanity, this is not what you are looking for as average technical support.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad that you found our environment uplifting and friendly and that our QA team was able to assist you during your time with us. · To best support our customers we do have minimum performance requirements in place to support our customer’s needs being met. While team members are eligible for bonuses when they exceed requirements such as contacts per hour and quality scores, new team members are provided with a grace period to meet requirements after completing our training program. Our training program is flexible to allow team members to move at a pace consistent with their skill level and experience. New hires are generally out of training in 6 weeks, but some team members finish before 6 weeks and some team members have graduated training after 8 weeks. · We apologize if you did not feel like leadership team members were available to support you; they actually have requirements around coaching and providing feedback to team members so generally they are very diligent in directly responding to request for assistance or assigning another team member to assist if they are not available. · In regards to times when volume is high, we do request volunteers to adjust their schedule and/or lunch breaks to assist customers. We do admit that while we have a number of team members that enjoy the ability to earn overtime dollars, others really enjoy their lunch break, that is why we first begin with a request for volunteers. · With continued customer growth our staff does have to adjust accordingly. We ended August with 13 internal promotions, this does not include new team members. While this does create a lot of change occurring at one time, we do enjoy promoting from within and seeing team members grow professionally. We acknowledge and respect that this environment was not a fit for you. But we really do appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback.
